Buffalo State Holds 19th Annual Student Art Sale
More than 50 students sold their artistic creations in the 19th Annual Student Art Sale in December 2015. Shoppers browsed through handcrafted jewelry, pottery, scarves, paintings, photos, prints, and sculptures created by students studying in programs offered by Buffalo State's art education, design, and fine arts departments.

318 Students Graduate from SUNY Oneonta
More than 300 students met requirements for graduation from SUNY Oneonta following the fall 2015 semester. Graduates were honored at a December recognition ceremony hosted by college President Nancy Kleniewski. They also are eligible to participate in the college's commencement on May 14.

In total, the foundation distributed more than $302,000 in the form of 265 scholarships granted to approximately 195 students. CCU honors graduation candidates at Aug. 8 commencement
Approximately 300 students were eligible to walk in Coastal Carolina University's summer graduation ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the HTC Center. Pam Martin, Ph.D., professor of politics and international relations, discussed the true value of their diplomas as they begin a new chapter in their lives and placed the new graduates' achievement in a global perspective. "Slightly under 7 percent of the world's population has the degree that you have earned today," she said. "Sixty percent of your fellow U.S. citizens do not have such a degree. Given these statistics, it is clear that you have something to celebrate today!"

Nearly 1,000 Students Honored at 126th Commencement
Nearly 1,000 students were honored at SUNY Oneonta's 126th commencement on May 16, 2015. Students who completed the requirements for bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and certificates of advanced study in the summer or fall of 2014 or the spring of 2015 participated in three main ceremonies in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. Caryl M. Stern, a 1978 graduate of SUNY Oneonta and president and chief executive officer of the United States Fund for UNICEF, addressed the graduates.

SUNY Oneonta has awarded scholarships to 270 incoming freshman and five new transfer students. Since 2000, the college and its related College at Oneonta Foundation have more than tripled the number of scholarships available to SUNY Oneonta students, and more than $4 million is awarded each year.
